A new month with winter season beckoning, did you miss anything recently?

We have entered November and it is prime time to start digging out ski equipment and clothes for the colder months of the year. Lately we took a closer look at popular ski destinations in Europe with some numbers to illustrate.

There is still some warmer weather to be found around Europe, especially if you look further south. For bikepacking and hiking enthusiasts November paints a pretty picture with the foliage. Have you ever seen the Eifel forest in Germany or the Belgian nature? Here is a flashback with inspiration if you are craving hiking or a spa retreat into the wild.

A closer look at where we went this past summer

Finally, we took a look at some tourism trends as found in a presentation by MasterCard, and it showed that people are extending their vacations ever so slightly (on average).

As the autumn months give way to winter and we put on thicker clothes, the winter sports are making a comeback after a year. Fun times are approaching fast for the active traveler, and Christmas and New Year are two holidays to look forward to before the ski season begins in earnest.

Here's to a happy beginning of November!
