Have you heard about the Fête du Citron? This festival dedicated to lemons is held every year in Menton, France. Over two weeks there will be parades with citrus floats and a crafts fair. This colorful festival of course boasts the color yellow and attracts hundreds of thousands of people every year.

The snow festival in Kiruna
Way up north in Europe, almost by the Swedish northern border, there is a snow festival in January. For four days, you can check out dog sledding, live music, and figure skating, to name a few. Naturally, the events and the sights will be all about snow and ice, combined with closeness to nature in northern Sweden.

The jazz festival Saalfelden in Austria
This festival dedicated to jazz and improvised music has been coming back for over 40 years. In January 2024, the festival opened up its doors. The edition in January is also known as “Three Days of Jazz”, and is smaller than the summer version. The winter version in Saalfelden Leogang will now be held for the seventh time
