The Palmengarten
This is Frankfurt's own botanical garden, with more than 22 acres and around 13,000 plants in outdoor areas. This is an excellent choice when you want to get a break from the shopping and the financial district in Frankfurt. There are also concerts held in the botanical garden from time to time, so you might want to see if you can catch a concert during your visit!
The Kleinmarkthalle
This is a great spot to soak up the local atmosphere while also buying fresh food. Don't miss out on the known sausages and the sweet German mustard. This is as much a traditional food market as a more modern meeting ground.
Romer
Romer is the old town in Frankfurt. The Altstadt has the Justice Fountain as its center and is also the scene for the annual Christmas market. Have a look at the shops and the 11 buildings with long history that together formed the medieval square.
The German film museum
This museum has a number of exhibitions where the permanent exhibition introduces the perception of visual media from the 18th and 19th centuries. Check out the intriguing engineering examples, where devices such as kaleidoscopes are displayed.
